Join the celebration as the Annual Easter Seals Telethon marks its 38th anniversary with the Rotary Club of Sudbury at Eastlink Community TV studio. The local broadcast promises to be an exciting event that brings awareness to the challenges and the inspiring victories of children and youth with physical disabilities, while raising imperative funds for Easter Seals kids.
Each year, the Telethon shares important stories about Easter Seals families, thanks donors and sponsors for their generous contributions and introduces new local Easter Seals Ambassadors.
Did You Know? Easter Seals Ontario, which was formerly the Ontario Society for Crippled Children, was established on November 28, 1922 with thanks to the support of Rotary Club of Windsor 1918. The centennial will be celebrated in 2022!
The Rotary Club of Sudbury has been supporting Easter Seals since September 14, 1924. On February 16, 1925, the first Rotary Crippled Children’s Clinic was held in Sudbury. The clinic was held in the clubrooms at the Nickel Range Hotel, courtesy of Rotarian “Dolf” Morin.
