Easter Seals Ontario’s National AccessAbility Week Kick-Off celebrates the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities and promotes greater accessibility and inclusion in our communities. The relaunch of the Run aims to not only continue supporting children, youth and young adults with physical disabilities through fundraising but also to create a platform to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and encourage accessibility.
Founded by Newmarket resident, Joe Persechini, the Upper Canada Easter Seals Run 5K & 10K Walk and Roll 5K is York Region’s longest running fundraiser for children and youth with physical disabilities. Over the past 49 years, this popular community event has become an indelible fixture in York Region, raising nearly $3.2 million to help children and youth with physical disabilities.
The National AccessAbility Week Kick-Off provides a challenge for serious runners, while also offering a fun and family-friendly event.
Whether you’ re looking to set a personal best in the 10K or simply enjoy a leisurely walk with your family while raising funds for Easter Seals Ontario, we have something for everyone!
