Despite the province-wide lockdown, Easter Seals campers were able to gather remotely over the April school break, to engage with each other and participate in camp activities through Camp E-aster Seals.
The week kicked off with a Sunday evening campfire, followed by a week of theme days, cabin challenges, at-home activities, social hangouts, and special guests. Campers showed off their funniest socks, their craziest hats, and donned their favourite sports jerseys, while making music videos, building bird feeders, playing balloon badminton, baking muffins, and more! They gathered on Zoom for trivia sessions, storytime, yoga, boccia, karate, virtual animal visits, and a session with YouTubers “Squirmy & Grubs.” The week concluded with a banquet celebration, looking back on the week of memories, and looking ahead to an action-packed summer of remote camp.
Registration will open in June for Camp E-aster Seals summer sessions, so stay tuned for more details! Learn more about Easter Seals Ontario’s remote and virtual camp program here.
