This past week, RBC opened applications for the ‘RBC Future Launch Scholarship’ – a skills-focused scholarship program . Applications are open to any Canadian youth/young adults (aged 15 to 29) who are either currently NOT enrolled in school or only studying part-time, but have a desire to learn something new and build their skills.
For 2020, there will be 450 scholarships available nation-wide valued at $1,500 each. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their drive, commitment to lifelong learning, and how they plan to use the funds to pursue their chosen learning opportunity. The scholarship can be used to support a wide range of learning opportunities, including short-term courses, workshops, certificates, or online training – and their associated costs (tuition, travel, tools, books, etc.).
Unlike traditional scholarships, applicants are not required to submit their grades or transcripts to be considered. Applicants can submit non-traditional reference materials, such as visual art, music, poetry, or video blogs they have created.
The three application deadlines are:
April 30, 2020
August 27, 2020
December 17, 2020
