Easter Seals Ontario is dedicated to helping children, youth and young adults with physical disabilities achieve their full individual potential and future independence.
Today, more than 20,000 children and youth in Ontario live with a physical disability. For more than 85 years Easter Seals has been committed to making a difference to these members of our community by providing financial assistance for mobility equipment and communication devices, fully accessible summer camp and funding for other recreational programs, parent resource information, and public education and awareness.
Easter Seals’ vision is realized through generous donations from the public. Individual donors, foundations, sponsors and community organizations, as well as thousands of volunteers contribute to the mission of Easter Seals annually. Together, we are helping kids with physical disabilities succeed.
To help meet the needs of children and youth with physical disabilities and their families, Easter Seals has developed a province-wide network of community-based volunteer groups called District Councils. Consisting of parents, donors, teachers, healthcare representatives and other concerned community stakeholders, these District Councils represent the local community.
Easter Seals owns and operates two, fully accessible camp facilities and is recognized as an industry leader in providing specialized camping programs for children and youth with physical disabilities.
Easter Seals’ website, www.easterseals.org provides a wealth of information for donors, volunteers, families, kids and the general public, including a virtual library with over 350 qualified links to service providers, suppliers, activities and other valuable resource information.
