An interview with a Team Captain: Simone Wellington - Milo's Minions

Why does Milo's Minions participate in 24 Hour Relay?
We feel that "giving back" is important. As a 24 Hour Relay alumnus, I find the experience to be rewarding.

How long have you been a Relay alumni?
I first participated in the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay back in 2005 with some of my co-workers.  It was such a great experience that it motivated me to get a team of my own together.

What is the benefit to your group as a Relay team?
I decided to form this group because my family and I wanted to get involved with a Charity and I like the work that the Easter Seals does. I also thought that it would be a fun way to get involved. In addition, we are doing this in memory of my son. I actually came up with the name of our group by using his nick-name "Milo", which I thought would be fitting. I know that, if he was still with us, he would have enjoyed being a part of the event as well. I felt that it would be a good way to keep his memory alive as well as filling my own desire to do something worthwhile.

Would you like to issue a challenge to the other teams?
We plan to "bring it" and challenge other teams to have as much fun as possible while doing so.
