Below are some testimonials from this year’s participants:
Just wanted to say thanks to you and all the volunteers for making this such an enjoyable event. It was inspiring to watch the first, fast, swimmers go by. I was impressed by how smoothly, at least from the swimmers’ point of view, everything went for the 1500 m swim today considering it’s the first, hopefully not the last, time you’ve done it. Congratulations on another successful Bring on the Bay!
Thank you so much for organizing this swim event again! Everything was so smooth and I felt safe all the time during the swim. Because of the strong flow to the downstream, I had PB by 5 min this year! My result was 1:03.42. I will definitely do it again!
First plz accept my thanks for hosting such a well organized swim…
Participated for the first time this year, thanks to the help of the swim angels program, and my angel Laura. It was my first open water (or any) swim event, and the organizers did a great job making sure all us newbs and nervous folk were well taken care of. Very safe and well laid out course and plan. Had a blast and will definitely be doing it again next year.
Wish more local swims offered similar swim buddy/ swim angel programs.

It was my first open water race. I was so nervous at the bag pick-up that my guts were in knots, but the volunteers at the desks helped me a lot.
I enjoyed the swim, and received lots of encouragement from the boaters and sailors and SUPers! Thank you for the experience! I will do it again next year!
This is the longest open water swim I’ve ever done……I’m slow but, fortunately, quite buoyant. It was scary, hard & fun…..I’ll be back next year!
Very well organized and always tons of fun.
Very well supported and a lot of fun. I will participate again next year.
I’m looking forward to my 2nd BOTB swim, raising more funds and beating my personal time from last year.
My first BOTB experience. Fun n challenging. Kudos to the organizing committee and volunteers. Namasté
Best organized swimming event I have ever participated in.
It was my first experience as a swimmer. I love my challenge. The organization was super friendly and everything was great. I’ve done several races in my life and this one has exceeded my expectations. I hope to re-enroll next year!!
Really fun experience! Perfect organization and people involved! Bravo!!! RV for next year!!
