Bring on the Bay Open Water Swim

13th Annual
Bushtukah Bring on the Bay 1.5K & 3K Open Water Swim!

Be part of one of the largest point-to-point open water swims in the country taking place in our Nation’s Capital – starting at the Nepean Sailing Club and finishing at the Britannia Yacht Club.  You are invited to participate in our traditional 3km race or our newer  1.5k “Walk the Plank” swim which will be offered once again.  We are also very proud to offer our unique Swim Angel program for those who need a companion in the water.

What

1.5 km and 3km open water swims across beautiful Britannia Bay welcoming swimmers of all ages and abilities.

When

Saturday, July 13, 2019
3 KM Route Start: 8:00 AM
1.5 KM Route Start: 8:45 AM

Where

The race is a point-to-point swim over Britannia Beach starting at the Nepean Sailing Club (3259 Carling Ave) and finishing at Britannia Yacht Club (2777 Cassels St).

The 3k swim will start at the dock at the Nepean Sailing Club. The 1.5k swim will start mid-way along the race route. All 1.5k swimmers will be shuttled from the dock at Nepean Sailing Club to the swim start.

Complimentary shuttle service is provided for swimmers and spectators to and from the Nepean Sailing Club to and the Britannia Yacht Club. Swimmers are asked to encourage their spectators to use the shuttle as parking at Britannia Yacht Club is extremely limited.

Registration Fees

Before May 31 $55
June 1 – June 30 $60
July 1 – July 10 $65
Friday July 12 $70 (late registration subject to availability at the Nepean Sailing Club)

Don’t forget to join-in on the BOTB Team Challenge, or give some thought about the Swim Angel program.

Entry fee includes our BOTB Swim bag, a race-day swim cap, finisher’s medal and a light post-swim snack.

The Cause

Once you sign up, don’t forget to use your online fundraising profile (that is created when you register) to ask your family, friends, and colleagues for donations in support of your 1.5 km or 3.0 km open-water Bring on the Bay challenge! Not only will your online donors instantly receive their tax receipts to their inbox, but your online donations will go directly towards your individual participation in this great event, giving you some great chances to win some amazing incentive prizes, entries into early-bird draws, and day-of fundraising prizes… not to mention all funds will support kids with physical disabilities!

Friday, July 12
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Race kit pick-up and late registration at the Nepean Sailing club. (subject to availability)
Saturday, July 13
7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. Final race kit pick-up at the Nepean Sailing Club.
7:30 a.m. – 7:55 a.m. Swim information, preparation, chip timer pick-up, race day instructions and warm-up

1.5k swimmers begin shuttle ride to starting point

8:00 a.m. 3 km Route: Race begins

Transportation is available for spectators from the Nepean Sailing Club to the Britannia Yacht Club

8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Breakfast available for swimmers at Britannia Yacht Club.
8:45 a.m. 1.5 km Route: Race begins
9:30 a.m. Closing ceremonies and awards at Britannia Yacht Club.
10:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Shuttle Transportation available for swimmers & spectators from Britannia Yacht Club to the Nepean Sailing Club
